  • Simon asked me to build a set of wheels that would be able to stand up to some pretty heavy riding in the mountains but also suitable for training in the UK when he didn’t want to spoil his Enve’s.

This combination of the lighter Pacenti SL23 rim and the Chris King R45 hubs works a treat. The hubs can really take some abuse between service intervals and the light wide rims offer brilliant tyre profiles for great confidence inspiring grip descending and increased comfort on the less high quality ‘roads’ that seem to be everywhere.

Message from Simon after his first ride:
“Went out on the CK/SL23 yesterday. Couldn’t beleive the difference over the stock wheels that came with the new team bike (Fulcrum S4) – Good build job..”
